The Salcombe/Kingsbridge estuary is a picturesque body of water located in the South West of England in an area of natural beauty. There are some stunning coastal walks and views surround this estuary but its real highlight has to be the miles of creeks and coves within the relative shelter of the natural harbour, making it a perfect place to SUP in the south west.

Mill Bay is on the other side of the Estuary from Salcombe Town. There is car park and you can easily carry your board down to the beach. From the beach you can head seaward and call in at Sunny Cove or cross the estuary to North Sands (refreshments at the Winking Prawn) and to South Sands (refreshments at the South Sands Hotel).

Alternatively you can head up the estuary to the calmer waters of Southpool and the Kingsbridge Estuary. Be mindful of the channel markers and the tides as the water exposes the mudflats really quickly and getting stuck on the mud unpleasant.
